Introducing Canvas Corner
Welcome to Canvas Corner – a gathering place hosted by your friends at Canvas Valley Forge, offering conversations on anything and everything related to living your best life in and around Montgomery County. Here, we will share guides to some of our favorite spots and activities, and will tap into many of our local friends and experts – from chefs to stylists to financial pros – who will offer us valuable advice that we all need from time to time to live the most fulfilling life.
At Canvas, we live for the journey. We love to discover what is right around the corner in life and we know that while change can be intimidating, it is often just what we need. We welcome you to our community and look forward to many adventures together to come!
Meet the faces of your Canvas Team:
Sarah McMeekin, Canvas Property Manager
I am a Pennsylvania native and alumnus of West Chester University. After graduating I spent some time in the Boston area before beginning my career in property management. Prior to this I had been a lifeguard for 10 years and bartended at Valley Forge Brewing Company. It was there that I learned a lot about microbrews which I now love!
Joining Bozzuto Management Company I started off as a Sales and Marketing Associate. Leading up to my position as Property Manager I have worn many hats in the industry and love what I do! I enjoy meeting new people and building on those relationships to create an exciting and social community that they can call home. For me this has always been tremendously rewarding to be a part of. Bozzuto also brought my husband and me together and after 10 years, we tied the knot in October of 2016!
Outside of work, I enjoy nature and gardening — tending to my garden has become a sanctuary and place of meditation. I am a passionate dog owner and currently have a Boxer and Cattle Dog who mean the world to me, their names are Bindi and Barlee.
I love visiting the Jersey Shore, specifically Ocean City and Cape May. My husband Jeff and I enjoy the serenity of an evening spent by the ocean. You can find us sitting on the dock of the raw bar at the Lobster House!
Josh Towber, Canvas Sales & Marketing Associate
Formerly in the wine industry, I have extensive knowledge from grape to glass; having spent years in vineyards, lending a hand during harvest, working alongside winemakers during production and managing a tasting room bar. One of my favorite things to do is re-visit the residents of a retirement home I once worked at when I was younger and provide them with wine tastings of locally grown and produced fruit.
My most genuine passion is the arts. I tended art school for one year, but did not like the confinements of expression in the classroom. Recalibrating, I left to pursue studies in business management, in turn keeping art and writing as a beloved hobby.
If I could hold a note I would be a musician in a heartbeat. Outside of work you can find me front and center at any indie-band concert.
Eileen Dunn, Canvas Sales & Marketing Associate
Once a Nittany Lion, always a Nittany Lion! I am an alumni of Penn State University with a degree in hospitality management. This ultimately led me to a career in property management and Canvas Valley Forge. A Penn State die-hard, I still try to make it to back to Happy Valley for at least two football games a season to cheer on the Nittany Lions.
I am a New York State native, turned Pennsylvanian with an affinity for traveling the globe. I have crossed the pond to tour Europe and the Caribbean. My favorite part of experiencing a new culture is definitely the food! Wherever I travel I find myself emerged in cooking classes, wine tastings and visiting farmers’ markets.
Most recently I found myself in Panama for the third time! It is here that I visit my college roommate and best friend -- a Panamanian native. When I visit, I always set aside time to see landmarks such as the Panama Canal and the country’s capital Panama City.
If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would have to be Mykonos Greece. I am eager to learn more about Greek culture and cuisine.
Diana Moyer, Canvas Director of Resident Services
In a nutshell, I am a social butterfly which is why I love planning parties and events for our residents. My mantra in life is simple… “It is okay to have too much fun!” Outside of the office you will find me spending quality time with family and friends. I grew up in Souderton PA, and I am an alumnus of Shippensburg University. Currently I live in West Reading with my Peek-a-Poo Ted who is always by my side and Aaron, my best friend and high school sweetheart.
I like to keep active! A few of my favorite things to do include hiking, jogging and yoga. My parent’s lake house in Seneca Falls, NY is my happy place. It is where you will find me either splashing around in the lake, or discovering a new winery, brewery or distillery.
Once a year my best friends from college and I take a road trip together. Our favorite locations to date have been the Finger Lakes, Martha’s Vineyard, Newport, Ocean City and of course the Jersey Shore. This year we are off to Nantucket!
