Game On at the Valley Forge Casino Resort
Eagles fans still flying high off of the recent Super Bowl win can show their Philly sports pride at an upcoming sports festival. The annual Philadelphia Sportscard & Memorabilia Show is set for March 2-4 at Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1.5 miles from your Canvas Valley Forge apartment.
For more than 30 years, the show has provided an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to showcase their vintage sportscards and other valuable collectibles like signed footballs, posters, pennants and more. More than 100 dealers from around the country will participate, providing endless opportunities for sports lovers on the hunt for the perfect find.
While many of the items up for display are vintage, the show also highlights current sports with meet-and-greet and autograph events. The Super Bowl champions themselves will be front and center throughout the weekend. Fourteen defensive Eagles players and 10 offense and special-teams players will be featured in events throughout the show. On March 3, catch Super Bowl MVP and Philly’s favorite quarterback, Nick Foles, and the following day features an equally exciting opportunity to see quarterback Carson Wentz. Also on March 4, join an event honoring five decades of Eagles, which will feature participation by some of the most famed players over the years.
It’s not all about the Eagles, however. Other player-focused events will feature legendary linebackers from Penn State University and members of the Notre Dame 1988 National Championship team.
While the show is a sports lover’s dream, even non-sports fans can have fun. Food and drink are offered throughout the event, and it’s being staged right in the middle of the Valley Forge Casino Resort, which features lots of opportunities for game play, dining, entertainment and more.
What makes the deal even sweeter is the price: Tickets are just $8 per day, or $18 for the whole weekend, with additional fees for autograph sessions.
