Give Back this Thanksgiving by Volunteering in King of Prussia
The Thanksgiving season is about recognizing all that we have to be thankful for in our lives. As we reflect during this time about what we have, it’s also important to share those blessings with others. Here are a few places you can do that by volunteering in King of Prussia this season.
Meals on Wheels delivers hot and cold meals to Upper Merion Township weekly and is always in need of volunteers to pack and/or deliver meals. This service helps the elderly, the homebound, or those recuperating from a hospital or medical stay. Give the gift of food this Thanksgiving season!
If you haven’t heard of this organization before, according to its website, it exists to create a volunteer network for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Help out by becoming a buddy, fundraising support, or assisting at a signature community event, like the Best Buddies Friendship Walk. Give the gift of friendship this holiday season!
If you don’t have the time to volunteer this Thanksgiving season, donate your coats instead! This organization works to give coats to the homeless, elderly, children and veterans in need. Pennsylvania winters can be brutal, so check them out and donate at their King of Prussia drop-off center or organize a coat drive. Give the gift of warmth this giving season!
These are just a few of the many ways you can give back to our community by volunteering in King of Prussia. We hope these ideas get you started down a path of Thanksgiving and generosity this holiday season.
