Where to Celebrate 4th of July Close to Your Canvas Valley Forge Home
Independence Day is upon us, and this year is shaping up to be a much more exciting holiday than last year! While most July 4th activities were sidelined by the pandemic last summer, some holiday favorites are returning this year. While nearby Philly puts on a major show for the 4th, you don’t need to travel to the city to take in all the festive fun, as there are plenty of ways to celebrate right near your Canvas Valley Forge apartment.
Here are just a few:
Wilson Farm Park Fireworks: Starting at 7:15 p.m., head to the community park, just 2.5 miles from your Canvas Valley Forge apartment, for an evening of food, fun and fireworks. Bring along a picnic dinner to share with friends old and new, dance to patriotic tunes from a local DJ, and don’t forget your lawn chair so you can kick back and enjoy the big fireworks show at dusk. Event organizers are asking all guests to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.
Valley Forge National Historical Park: What better place to celebrate America’s birthday than in one of the region’s most historic spaces: Valley Forge National Historical Park, five minutes from your Canvas Valley Forge apartment. While the big events usually held at the park won’t take place this holiday, a tour of the park and its many historic structures and statues is a great way to pay tribute to the history of the country and the role the local area played in its founding.
Norco Fair: The North Coventry Township Fire Company’s annual will be held July 2-7, with rides, games, tons of food and fun for all ages. Catch the fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. July 2 at the fairgrounds, 20 minutes from your Canvas Valley Forge apartment.
