Enjoy a Local Oktoberfest this October in King of Prussia
The King of Prussia area is a haven for creativity when it comes to food and drinks, with new restaurants, bars, brewpubs, wineries and more popping up constantly. There are so many places to grab a refreshing brew and a bite that, sometimes, it might be a challenge to pick between all of the hot spots near your Canvas Valley Forge apartment! Lucky for locals, if you want to sample a little of everything, there’s an event coming the area just for you.
The KOP Beerfest returns this month, 4:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 9, outdoors at the King of Prussia Mall, less than a mile from your Canvas Valley Forge apartment. The festival will introduce you to more than 100 craft and international beer makers. Grab your 2 oz tasting mug and hit up table after table for unlimited samples—pale ales, lagers, ciders, fruit beers and more will all be on display so, no matter your taste in beers, you can have your fill at Beerfest. While the event showcases beers from around the world, there is plenty of local talent participating, including Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, Conshohocken Brewing Company and Evil Genius Beer Company. Make some stops at the food vendors and food trucks in between all of your samples, with options like City Works, Morgan’s Brooklyn Barbecue and The Cow and The Curd.
While the drinks and food are the main attraction, the festival also includes live music from local performers, giant yard games, giveaways and much more. And, if you really want to make the most of the fun, head out Oct. 7 for King’s Plate, a competition to crown the best of the best of local breweries and eateries. Unlimited food and beer samples, specialty pairing options, wine and cocktails, and much more make this a great start to the Beerfest weekend.
